  • Upgrade 7.5 to 9.2

    I'm currently on 7.5 (12.14.4002.0) and want to upgrade to 9.2 (14.41.1108.0). I'm fining descrepencies between the release and build notes for 9.2 that is making it difficult to determine if I can upgrade.

    My Shoretel servers are Win 2003 standard SP2 (32 bit). My call manager client is Win 2003 Enterprise SP2 (32bit) Terminal Server

    Upgrade:
    * Release notes - Upgrades are possible from 9, 9.1, and 8.1.
    * Build notes - Upgades are possible from 7.5, 8.1, 9, and 9.1

    9.2 Client software:
    * Release notes - Terminal server is supported for Win 2003 SP2 (32 and 64 bit), Win 2003 R2 (32 and 64 bit), and Win 2008 R2 (64 bit)
    * Build notes - Terminal server is supported on Win 2008 R2 (64 bit)

    What am I to believe?

    From 7.5 to 9.2

    The build notes are what you want to use. I have taken a multi-site customer from 7.5 to 9.1 without any issues. 9.2 has a direct path as well.
    Good luck.

      So 9.2 ONLY supports Win 2008 R2 for terminal services?

      I find this a bit hard to believe.

        We're running v9.2 on Windows Server 2003 Terminal Servers/Citrix Servers with no issues.
