  • Call Manager E-Mail Notification

    I tried to send Call Manager e-mail notifications to users (from Director) and was prompted with a message saying " xx users have been notified" but the Customers e-mail server does not forward them. Is there some documentation available that describes setting requirements for Customer e-mail servers. It seems that the ShoreTel server needs to be allowed to send e-mails. Thanks

    You need to configure the SMTP service on the ShoreTel server to be able to forward emails to a smart host to perform the actual delivery.

      SMTP Services

      Exactly where in SMTP services do configure it to forward e-mails?

        IIS Manager->Your SMTP Server->Properties->Delivery tab->Advanced.

          Also when you modify that setting put brackets around the IP if you are configuring it that way, [10.0.0.1] or if its a hostname then put the name in without brackets, smtp.host.com

            Any idea on how to set this up on Server 2008? I tried the IIS Manager (not 6.0)...and the only thing I could find is the SMTP E-Mail under ASP.NET...but I wasn't sure if this was the correct place? Let me know, thanks.
