  • Disabling the Intercom Feature

    We are about to cut over to a shoretel setup using 8.1 and the Shortel 230 handsets. I noticed the intercom feature and after some reading I have learned this could become very bothersome if not disabled. I was hoping someone would be able to provide some instruction on how to go about disabling this feature.

    users> User Groups> find the user group you would like to make the change to and click on the telephony features class of service it will be in the next column.

    scroll down to "Directed Intercom / Paging. Uncheck Allow Initiation.

    repeat for all Class of services as needed
