  • Telnet Commands on VXWorks

    Hello

    I'm trying to manually set the link speed of our120/24, 60/12 and E1 switches via telnet.I have enabled telnet to each device via the command prompt ".........ipbxctl.exe -telneton ipaddress" etc for each switch

    when logging onto each switch via telnet to VxWorks with username "anonymous" and Password "ShoreTel" instead of being presented with the usual Shoretel symbol and numbered menu options I'm presented with the following prompt

    ->

    I have rebooted each device with the hopethat thenormal menu would appear

    Any help appreciated thanks

    How do I get to the standard menu

    type gotoShell at the prompt.

      Unfortunately "gotoShell" did not work. See below

      VxWorks login: anonymous
      Password:

      ->
      -> gotoShell
      undefined symbol: gotoShell
      ->

      Any other ideas?

        try bootChange

        It won't display the menu that you're used to seeing from the serial console, but it will let you change IP settings.

          You don't type gotoShell on the Fuji switches (only on Kilauea).

          The commands for the shell are detailed in the Maintenance guide.
