  • ShoreTel Call Manager Install

We are starting to run into some issues as we rollout ShoreTel to our locations. We are getting some machines that will not register three .dlls. VmailFrm.dll, VMCmdExt.dll, and CallHExt.dll. When you attempt to register them manually, it will not work.

Has anyone else run into this and if so, how did you correct?

    Thanks,
    Chris

Are you installing as local admin, do they have firewall disabled?

Yes, we are using Admin and also the firewall has been turned off.

It isnt happening to just one type of machine in the company either.... it is all diffrent.

The key to his question is: LOCAL admin. If you are logging in to the domain for admin permissions, that may be your issue. We have seen this only a couple of times but it has happened. Install Call Manager from a LOCAL machine administrator account. I heard someone once say they had to remove the machine from the domain temporarily but we haven't run into any that required it.

          Pardon for not saying correctly.

Yes we are using LOCAL admin. At the other locations there is no need for Super Mega Domain Admin.
