  • can't talk to callers internally or externally

We have an issue sporatically that I can't figure out. On a local lan segment call from user A to user B (both internal lan users) user A can hear user b talking just fine, but user b can not hear user A .... any ideas?

Could be a bad phone. Do you have ICMP redirects in the local router or POE switches. I know that ICMP redirects can cause one-way audio even on internal calls.

no, no icmp redirects turned on. It has happened on several phones.

        Ping the phone.

When it happens, telnet to the phone and do a 'route show'. See if there are any goofy routes in the suspect phone.. the phone that the other side can't hear. See if you can ping the other phone from the suspect phone.

Run phontctl.exe -telneton IP_ADDRESS_OF_PHONE from the shoreware server.

I can get in now, but once I get a prompt and type in route show it is an invalid command. Do I need to login or anything?
