  • Conference Bridge and Outlook

I want my users to use the Outlook Integration feature to schedule a conference. Unfortunately, the necessary tabs do not show up for all users. Users can log into the bridge web site and everything works from there, just not using Outlook.

    Any ideas?

We are wondering the same thing here, as of 5/5/2008.

Most of us see the conferencing tab and even get a login prompt to the conference bridge.
After filling in the blanks and sending --- nothing.
    Back to the login screen.

Anybody hear anything on this issue, yet?

This is what is (not) happening...

I know we are getting the exact same thing on an install we did last week. Been working with TAC on it. No answers as of yet.

          Possible SOLUTION!

#1 - all of your dealings with Shoretel stuff needs to be in IE. Firefox just doesn't play well.

#2 - Make sure cookies are allowed. Or at least allowed for Shoretel & your conference bridge.

#3 - clear your cookies. Then, log directly into your conference bridge (using IE -- not Outlook) and check the box to "remember" the connection. This will set the correct cookie.

#4 - Log off the conference bridge, fire up outlook, and observe the pictures below.
Note: What you want is for your new cookie to match your FQDN, which, in turn, must be listed precisely in the Outlook conferencing tab.

          This solution worked for us!
Good luck, fellow phone dudes & dudesses!

Well we finally discovered our problem. The FQDN of the server that the customer wanted to use was "serve_cb1". Although the conference bridge accepted this, the shoretel server does not like underscores apparently. Once we changed the server name to something without underscores it works perfectly. Life is once again good and grand.
