  • Does a Workgroup have a distinctive ring?

    I'd like to have a workgroup have a distinctive ring. So if a teller in xyz branch calls the Accounting Dept workgroup at HQ, the members of that workgroup will know it is different than a straight DID or extension call.

    IOW, I don't care whether the caller is internal or external, I want the Workgroup to have the distinctive ring.

    Is this already built in because I don't see an option to set it.

    No, this is not built in, nor is it easy to do, even with a custom. Not saying it's impossible, just not easy.

    Edit: UNLESS I have not played much with the personalized call handling rules in 9. Is it possible through these?

      You could write some rules with PCH in Professional CM but it doesn't work exactly the way you want.
