  • client not connecting

    Anyone seen issues with the client not connecting? Here is the scenario..
    install shoretel client, and reboot.
    configure client- enter username, password, and server ip address
    click next and it tries to connect forever.... never connects. I have seen it on 5 or 6 machines and have no idea what is causing it.

    In our deploy, it happened a few times, if you reboot and try again, it normally works and will pick up the wizard where it froze up.

      I hope this is fixed in ST7...

      But the workaround that I have found for 6.1 is to end task on CSISMGR.exe, and then connect again... worked for me many times.

        This happened all the time to us with version 6.1 and was a pain in the ass during our install. We have been on version 7 for a few months now and it seems to be resolved.

          Suggestions

          I have seen this, this could be network related.

          Check DNS information on the server to ensure that the ip for your system is not pointing to another location.

          Also try using the ShoreTele server name, I found this worked.
