I'm installing the call manager 9 (build 14.21.4905). Now, its windows 7 64bit, but never mind that becuase the guy next to me has it running perfectly fine on an identical hardware/os setup.
The symptom is that the call manager does not talk to the phone (the little phone in the top right is grey with an x) even though it connects fine to the server. So, I cannot use the call manager to dial a call, nor can i use outlook to dial a call.
We did find that in my "phone and modem" preferences there is no shoretel item, while in the other guys machine, on the advanced tab, there's a "ShoreTel Remote TAPI Service Provider" in the list.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the call manager software, but it doesn't fix the problem. I noticed that a lot of settings are retained after the uninstall, so i also went into the registry and into the appdata folders and deleted the shoreline stuff i could find. It appeared to have cleared some if not all of the settings, but i still don't have the service provider in the phone and modems control panel.
Anyone seen this before??
Thanks!
