  • Workgroup Extensions in an Extension List?

Is it possible to have a workgroup extension in an extension list?

Here is the deal - I want to create multiple workgroups for each of our office locations. When you call in, I want to present the user with an option to put the name of that office in a Dial by Name auto attendant option. The names of our locations are well known. The user would then be placed into the workgroup queue for that location.

Anyone know how to do this?

Don't think you can put 'Work Groups' on an Extension List.
Curious? Why not set it up in a 'Menu' and have them select 1,2,3,4...9, ?

We are going to have more than ten options...so, we thought it would be easier to either enter the extension (which will be referenced on paperwork), or enter the name of the location so it can find it in an extension list for when they forget their paperwork.

The only other way I know how to do this would be to burn extension licenses and have them auto-forward to the workgroups.

I see...do you have to have an 'Ext. List' on you menu? If you say 'None' you should be able to Dial those numbers, as is. If not, then you may need to use a 'Route Point', (you cannot put a Route Point in an Ext. List either)

          or

          I hate to say it...add a sub-menu?
