  • IP 115 Firmware Mismatch

I just recently upgraded to ST 8.1 Build 13.25.3801.0 from ST 7.5 Build 12.15.8200.0. I have about a dozen IP 115's at one of my locations. Most IP 115's successfully upgraded to the new firmware, however only one of them indicates a firmware mismatch in SW Director. When rebooting the phone, it gives me an "APP Download Failed" message. I've seached ShoreTel's knowledgebase. All the results I received were to check certain settings in Default FTP Site Properties in IIS. All settings are correct. I've also tried <Mute Button>35327#. Keep in mind that the remaining IP 115's did not have this problem......only this one. I'm almost to the point of submitting an RMA request, but I thought I'd check here first before doing so. I know that on the voice switches, there's a burnflash command that will force an upgrade. I wansn't sure if there was any trick similar to that to force an upgrade on the ip phones. Thanks in advance for your help.

The way to reflash a phone is to do a factory reset.
This will wipe the existing firmware and force a re-download.
You can find the details here:

If that doesn't work, RMA the phone..

Thanks for the feedback guys, but unfortunately that didn't work either. I'm going to submit an RMA request right now.
