  • want to display number called to external extension

    have a customer that wants the number that the customer dialed displayed on their phone that is forwarded to their cell phone. possible?

    Huh? I'd love to help, but I'm not sure I follow your question. Maybe others will understand it better, but could you re-ask your question, maybe with an example or something?

    Are you talking about the incoming caller ID being provided to a cell phone after the incoming call was re-directed back out?

    Also, what version of Shoretel are you on? What type of forwarding is done? (Find-Me, Office Anywhere, etc?)

      I'm assuming its something like one of our customers who have multiple 800 numbers coming in and their mobile support personnel needed to know how to answer the phone "ABC Support" or "XYZ Support" since they service different competing companies.

      The only way we have found to set this up was to:
      Have telco assign the 800# to a local DID (DNIS did not work)
      Assign the DID to a workgroup (cannot go through an auto attendant first, and hunt groups will not pass the DID that was dialed)
      Make sure the workgroup agents are using Office Anywhere - not just forwarding to cell
      The incoming Caller ID on the techs cell phones will show the DID number assigned to the workgroup
