What causes this when pressing the directory key? Has anyone else seen this lately?

Is the IP Phone Display service on the server running? Can you ping the phone from the server?

last time I saw that, the memory resources on the server were really low. I rebooted the shoretel server and it was all good again

I have not tried to ping to the phone, I will try that, however I am able to open the voicemail box so I assume that the ping would be successful. I will check the services too.

Does anyone know if the phones talk to the HQ server or the DVM?

Stop and Start director services if that does not work, reboot your director , if your VLAN'ed make sure you can get to the director from both your phone VLAN and your Data VLAN
