  • External Assignment to an extension

I think I already know the answer to this, but is there anyway to use a route point or external assignment to transfer to an external number including an extension? i.e. 555-1212 ext 2345

Not really sure I understand. What's the scenario that you are trying to tackle? You want to transfer a call to an extension that instead forwards to an external number?

correct, it seems that we have some clients that want us to be a middle man, when people call us, we can transfer to the client. But some clients don't have a DID, just a main number and extension. 1-800-555-1234 ext 3456

In every other telphony system I have come across, entering commas in the dialing string will act as pauses when number is dialed. I do this all the time if I want to connect into customers with auto attendants.
External assignment set to number +1(XXX)555-1212,,,,1234. Havenet tried this yet but worth a shot.
