Remove Time from Phone

Does anyone know how to remove the clock from Shoretel 230 phones?

You know, that's actually a really good idea.

Perhaps an option to toggle the phone clock on/off.

That or perhaps, giving a backup time source... or at least an alternative to the director server ntp service.

The NTP server can already be specified in the phone configuration file or DHCP options. It doesn't need to be set to the director server. I know of no way to disable it in native ShoreTel at this time, though it could be done with custom programming.

I'm sure ShoreTel Professional Services can do that, because I don't think the phone set actually relies on the NTP service other then for the clock/date display on the set.

If an NTP server is not registered or available, and the phone is reset, it would just show 1:00am and tick up from there. Handy if you have no life outside of work and perform a reset at that sort of time

But as Palitto said, should be removable with custom configuration, and also ShoreTel could probably do it as well.
