  • Reassign ext # to PCM

We have a customer that had the PCM installed on a new employee's XP profile by their on site support person and the wrong extension was entered and was assigned to this persons PCM; we need to change it. They tried to uninstall and reinstall PCM, but the same extension keeps coming up with the PCM. How can we change the extension that is assigned the PCM?

Extensions are not assigned to Call Managers, Users are.

When you log into Call Manager, it asks you for 3 things:
    User Name
    Password
    Server

If the user signs in with this information, and the bottom of Call Manager shows the wrong extension, then they are assigned the wrong extension in Shoreware Director.

IF somebody else logged into call manager, and it isn't this new user, then while in Call Manager, go to Options | Confirgure Shoretel System | Login and Passwords and logoff the Call Manager and Log back in using the correct user.

I don't think I explained myself to well. They have one phone that sits next to a desktop that has multiple users (3). Each user has her own desktop profile, which has PCM installed on each profile. When their shift starts they log into their own profile (PCM) and when a message is left it will show up on their PCM as a cassette, so they know there is a message. None of these users are assigned in the director; the phone all three share is assign in the director as nurse station ext 110. So does the new person have to use the same password and login as whats in the director for extension 110.

BINGO! If they all 3 share teh extension, then they all need to use the same logon and PW.
