  • Noise cancelling Handset

Does anyone know of any noise cancelling handsets (not to be confused with headsets) that will fit a shoretel phone?

Nortel phones had handsets you could buy for $20 or so that would dramatically reduce the background noise that is present in our manufacturing plant. Too bad it will not fit the shoretel base.

I think it's fair to say only ShoreTel handsets will fit on a ShoreTel phone. While some others may fit unless people have done this it'll be a whole load of guesswork finding one with the right angle, length, all that stuff.

Considered the old age trick of taping some foam over the mouthpiece, similar to what people do when recording videos on cars/motorcycles, to stop wind noise? Otherwise a noise reducing headset (perhaps a wireless one) would be what's required.

      Thanks,
      Jamie
