  • New V series voice switches

Does anyone have experience with the new V series switches. I have installed a SG50-V in a customers new remote site. I never have gotten the auto attendant to work - the default auto attendant always plays no matter what auto attendant I choose for this site. Also ran into an issue where the analog trunk ports would hang. Last night I upgraded this customer to the latest 8.1 release (13.24.2504) per ShoreTel support and the V switch never came back. ShoreTel support on these issues have been less than stellar so far.

We have one of the SG-50V Switches here and have experienced some issues also. However not the same issue you are having. We are on build 13.24.5909.

The issues we have had include:
-Workgroups that have Mailboxes on the V switch have their greetings disappear.
-Every night we get erroneous errors in the event log (Event 1019) related to the V switch and when it does its maintenance
-The time stamp will sometimes switch back to PST after a reboot. Requires just changing the time zone to something new and switching it back to what it's supposed to be.

All of these issues have been marked as "defects" by support and I am waiting for the next release to fix them. I agree that support isn't always the best on these issues. I have had to convince them on several occasions that it is a ShoreTel problem. It seems that support is still learning the V switches themselves.
