  • Bypassing AutoAttending?

    Hey,

I have been put in charge of making a change to our system and i'm relatively new to it.

We currently have an Auto attendant menu, however instead we want it to call a specific extension (310) instead of the auto attendant menu when someone dials our number.

Is there an easy way to bypass the auto attendant for now?

    Thanks!

Couldnt you set the timeout on the auto attendant to like 1 ms, and then have the timeout action set to forward to extension 310?

i dont know if thats the best way, but it could work i guess.

When I tried that, the timeout options drop down at the bottom, in fact all the drop down menus at the bottom are empty and have no options??

You need to add Shoreware Director to your trusted sites. Alternatively, depending on how your lines are set up, you might be able to go into your trunk group and change the Inbound Destination to the desired extension.

there is some sort of active x control that runs/installs when you access certain areas of director. Palitto's recommendation should do the trick.
