  • Vista Ultimate

    Hey Everyone -

Just got a new Shoretel system installed at an office I work at and it is running great so far. The only issue I am having is with a handful of Vista Ultimate stations. When you try to launch Shoretel it will immediately bring up an error saying it cannot open the shoretel.app file. Spoke to our rep who installed the system and he mentioned these forums for help. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Call Manager is only supported on Vista Business Edition, still might work on Ultimate.

I am running Vista Ultimate and Call Manager is running OK.
It was installed using Group Policy. I am also a local administrator and I turned off all the security crap coz it broke all our legacy applications.

                Ultimate

If may not be "supported", but vista ultimate is just another version of vista.

If call manager runs on Vista business, and you add bitlocker and windows media center, the PCM should not stop working.

It is not like utlimate is a different operating system, with a different kernal, drivers, etc. It just has a few more "features".

I think he may find that it is the 64 bit version of ultimate. In that case, the "ultimate" part is not the problem..............

Certainly True, but, the bottom line is try asking for help on a NON SUPPORTED OS unk:

                  Reality is a funny thing

                    Jeremy,

Have you tried installing the PCM as a LOCAL administrator? Kind of what Shoretel_Dave has said.
