  • PCM & Proxy

Could someone expain the relationship between your Internet Proxy and the Call Manager software? We recently experienced an issue with the proxy that downed Call Mgr and are trying to fully understand how the Call Mgr software interacts with the proxy server.

Among other protocols, PCM talks to the HQ server using http.

So windows proxy settings forward the http requests to the proxy server if one is configured.

Add your HQ server ip address to the proxy exception list for best results.
