Alert to send email

I dont know if this is possible or not, but i do know the shoreline server sends you emails when certain things happen.

Is there an alert where when the MySQL stops running it will send me an email?

We are a new site on ver 8.1 so I don't know about previous versions but under Maintenance, Event Filters I have events that will email me if triggered.
