  • Call Manager 7 and Vista

    Have any of you testing had any luck getting Call Manager 7 to run on Vista? I'm able to install it but get "Launch failed: ShoreTel Call Manager object creation: 0x80070005: Access is denied" when I try and run it.

    I'm hoping the next build will fix this.

    Last I heard, if you upgrade from XP (and it already has PCM installed) to Vista, it might work....but on a new install of Vista, it's not working, not even incompatibilty mode. I also heard that it 'might' work on certain flavors of Vista, but no confirmation yet. I'm running Vista Business, clean install, and it doesn't install.

      Yeah, these are fresh installs and Vista Business. Looks like they still have some work to do. Hopefully they will have a fix on the next release.

          FYI - The latest 7 build 12.5.2835.0 of the Call Manger now works with Vista. Been running it since Monday with no issues.

            Yup! Won't work with Office 2007 on Vista yet though. Although been using office 2007 on XP for months now and it generally works great.

                        wish i could get a hold of just the call manager part of 7. We are waiting for the GA but since i upgraded to vista ultimate i have really missed call manager.

                              We have the problem that was reported by the original poster of this thread. We have it on about 5 or 6 of our 14 Citrix (Win 2k3 SP2) servers. Anyone find a resolution to that?
