    No telnet to phones on 8.1?

    We are running 8.1 and are not able to telnet into phones as it appears was possible in previous versions. Telneting into switches works fine, as does using the phonectl.exe on phones to pull info.

    Getting the error below on all phones when I use the phonectl.exe -telneton <ip of phone>. Can anyone confirm this was removed in 8.1??

    you need to authenticate with a password. default is 1234

    phonectl -pw 1234 -telneton 192.168.1.5
