  • Outlook Integration

    Hi,
    I am running 7.5, and Office 2007.
ShoreTel Personal Call Manager installed fine.
Using PCM to dial contacts contained within Outlook works fine.
If you type in the public phone number (without the prefaced access number "9") into PCM it works fine, adding the "9" automatically I suppose.
But right-clicking on the contact in Outlook, and choosing "call contact" fails, as it it not prefacing the number with a "9" which is our access number to the outside world.
    Anyone any ideas?
    Thanks,
    John Marshall

    Outlook

There is a "dialing properties" section in outlook. It contains settings for dialing. There is a box that says "when dialing from this location, use the following rules:
To access an outside line for location calls dial: (9,)

I think this is what you need.

There is also a section to select standard modem or the shoretel phone. Outlook doesn't handle external assignment changes very well.

    I attached a screenshot.
