  • Tie Line CallerID shows +1 before extension

    We're doing a 4 digit PRI tie between a new Avaya and existing Shortel. The caller ID on the Shortel phones has a +1 in front of the number. Calls go fine either way.

    Shoretel phone: Conf Room Phone +15555
    Shoretel phone: Jim Davis +15556

    Caller ID is showing good on Avaya. Is Avaya sending some crap it shouldn't??

    Shortel:
    Trunk group:
    4 digits NI2, PRI user,

    Do a pri trace on the T1 at Shoretel

    Log into the T1
    set
    pri_log = 5
    pri_trace = 5

    Replicate a call
    Capture results
    post the results, I will tell you

    List the ext your calling from and the Ext you are calling

    Make sure you turn the trace off when your done
    pri_log = 0
    pri_trace = 0

    One more smaller item, set as well
    trunk_debug_level = 2

    just for the halibit

    set it to 0 to turn it off

      We have a similar issue with our Nortel T1 Tie-line. But we get area code + prefix (310-488-xxxx). Were you able to resolve the issue?
