Shoregear 90 Switch on Version 7

I should be able to install a SG90 or SG50 on version 7 correct. The release notes say I can. My wonderful and trustworthy partner(sarcastically speaking) told me I needed to upgrade to 8 in order to use the 90. Everything I have read says otherwise, I just want to make sure before I buy one.

Version 7 supports the 50 and 90 switches.
