  • Odd Dialing problem

Here's an odd one. Has anyone experienced a problem with ShoreTel where an auto attendant at a business that is called from ShoreTel will not respond to dial input from a ShoreTel phone, yet if you call the same business from a cell phone or a phone on a different vendor's PBX the auto attendant responds properly? This only happens when calling one business.

I've seen it. It was on a PRI. We went into the switch setup and bumped up the transmit levels on a per trunk basis. Took care of the problem immediatley.

      PRI or DID

Is it the only IVR doing this?

if DID you can go to the T1 Switch and adjust the DB level for TXgain
2.0 is standard I suggest starting at 2.5 and work your way up by .5 to a max of 7.5

You can do this in the Last Chanel say 23, 22, 21, 20 & 19 making sure you grab a trunk outbound for test

      Set first to 2.5 channels 23, 22, 21, 20 & 19 save and test
no luck bump to 3.0 save and test then 3.5

Once oyu get the response form the IVR bump it .5 so if you are set at 3.0 and get responses set the final to 3.5

If it is POTS or analog, the individual ports need this boost and that is a tad different

We are calling from a PRI. Not sure what we are calling into. And, yes, this is the only IVR we have run into that is doing this.
