  • Weird Button Program Request

Have a user with a 560. Currently when he presses the Directory Button on his phone, the Speed Button appears on the phone screen above the third black key at the bottom of the screen, which he can then press to access his Speed Dial Directory. When his phone is not in use, the third button is blacked out. Is there a way to get the Speed button to be on the third button (or a soft button on the side?) for this user. I know this seems trivial, but unfortunately this is a Controller who sends me the checks

It should be Speed Dial under Programmable Buttons in Personal Options

Leave the number blank, that should work

I tried that (Dial Number (Speed Dial)) already. The problem is the system wants an extension and won't let you save without the extension.

Try building a Extension list and adding that as the ext,

You can only add Extensions or External numbers to Dial Number (Speed Dial), no access to Extension Lists.

Perhaps you could show this user that speed dial also works by holding keys 1 through 9 (1 speed dials the first person in the list, 2 the second, etc).
