Is there a way to setup a call handling mode that will transfer/forward to a users home number but have their office voice-mail pickup if they do not answer instead of their home voice-mail? I've looked through the forums and could not find where this had been answered before.

    Thanks

    Thanks

This is a common issue. make sure your Ring count (SHoretel) is lower then the Ring No Answer of the Home or Cell Pick up.

So for example, lets say Shoretel is set to ring 4 times and your Home Answer machine is set to pickup on ring 2

This is common with Cell Phones as well when using Office anywhere.

In Shortel, Make sure the Number of Rings on Shoretel is greater then 4 and the Home and or Cell Phone is two to 3 rings higher then that

    **Side note on the above
An incoming call then forwarding to Office Anywhere or ? is already counting rings the moment it hist Shoretel for that user.
It also has to grab another trunk (Trunk to Trunk) and this accounts for an extra ring cycle or more. So the amount of rings on ST in a Foward always to an outside number should be IMO and experience 4 or greater

Where do you set the ring count? I've looked and cannot find it. I have the custom call handling mode to always forward to my home number. Do I need to set it to forward after x amount of rings?

You do not need to have this set to forward after so many rings, you set it to always and make it the External destination. A better approach is to yu the Office Anywhere feature, aka External asisgment this will force it to your Shoretel Vmail as you want.

Find me will work, Office Anywhere is better suited

Ring count will be found in a couple of areas depending on your setup

        One in Find Me
        the other
In your Specific Call Handling mode In your case Custom it is
        No Answer Number of Rings
