  • Create 911 Panic Button on PHone

I'm trying to add a 911 panic button to one of the 230's function buttons, but I can't seem to figure out what to add in the blank.

    obviously

    telephony-->dial number --> ???

    I've tried

    911
    +1911
    + () 911
    +0 (000) 000-0911

I finally did something that gave me +91 1 in the blank, but it's basially dialing 9 to get an outside number and then 11, after which I'm prompted for my long distance code.

    Thanks!

    What Build of Shoretel?

you should only have to put 9911 or 911 in it, no different then doing this through PCM or manual dial.

    this is a bug

However, I would caution you on this, a button can accidently be pushed well so can accidently dialing. Just dont hang up 911 hates that

      I'm on build 7.5

911 does not work. It won't take it.

        What build of 7.5

Bascily either way, this should work, if it does not it is a Functional Bug that should be a P1 IMHO

The last version I see that we loaded was ShoreTel_7.5_Build_12.14.6901.0

Is there a place I can check for sure to tell me the version. I don't see anything in shorewaredirector to tell me the version.

Before you log into ShoreTel Director
Look Left under the Orange S

            In Director
Quick Look > Under Servers Column (RIght Side) choose HQ or what ever you named HQ Server
Drill down the new page at the bottom just under events you will see the Build

I would still report this as a functional bug, it is not an enhancement request either, you should be able to add this as a button.

If your Enterprise, contact your Local ShoreTel SE and your vender to push this. otherwise it does not move very fast

I tried to do this a while back even with tech support and didn't get anywhere. Let me know if you figure it out.

This is a serious issue IMO, TAC can do nothing once this is escalated as a bug, it then falls under Tier 2 and engineering.

Your best defense on this is to bring the SR # to you ShoreTel Sales Engineer or Sales Marketing and start sqwauking.

GET A SR OPEN, demand it and get the number, open a webcase if you have to to get that SR.
