  • Inbound caller id not showing name

We have two PRI's coming into our building. One is for local access and other other is for long distance access. Our toll-free numbers come in over our long distance PRI, and I use the DNIS mapping function to route the calls to the proper location. For some reason, the name on the inbound caller-id is stripped off, however the number is displayed correctly. When calls are placed to our local PRI, the name and number are displayed correctly. Only the long distance PRI appears to be problematic. The only difference is the CO switch providing the local PRI is NI-2, and the CO switch providing the long distance PRI is 4ESS.

So my question is before I call AT&T and they start their famous finger pointing game, is there any underlying setting in the Shoretel configuration that would prevent the name being stripped off incoming calls on our LD PRI?

    Thanks,
    Travis

CID Name is only supported in NI2 See PIG chapter 5 page 4 (this is from the ST6 PIG) it has not changed in any other release as well.
