  • Extension Shows To Be In Use, But Is Not.

I am trying to edit a user in the shoreware director software. I am wanting to change the extension number of a user to another, but whenever I try to save the change, it wont take the extension number because it says that the extension is in use already, but I am certain that it is not. Where do I go to delete this extension?

This can be caused by a few items, the most common is the ext number you are trying to use, was in fact used at one time. It was either deleted or moved or renamed and not successfully clear in the Database.

Or depending what ext your trying to use this could be a system extension. System extensions can bee seen in system prefrences > System Extension and Sites and application servers.

If it is an ext once used, you will need to edit and delete the ext form the access data base more then likly refered in the DN tabes

I just got around to reading your response. First, thanks for the reply. I will poke around and see if I can't find where in the access database to delete that extension.
