  • Date / Time in Call Manager history incorrect

    Hi,

    I am a user support specialist for my company. One of our users' History is displaying the incorrect date on calls from one of our receptionists phones. The dates displayed are June 22 and June 24, 2008, which has not occured yet. Here is a screen shot:



    I thought maybe the receptionists phone had the wrong date setting, so i had her call me, and the date was correct in my History. Does anyone have any ideas on what is happening?

    Restart the phone. if that does not work:


    You can also do a manual Setup of the phone by reboot and put in password of the phone. Then you can manually put in all the info the phone requires. If you have NTP server make sure the NTP IP is correct when you put in IP.


    If there are many phones messing up it might be something with the DHCP Scope.

      Thanks for the reply. Which one needs to be restarted? The one who's history is wrong, or the one that called the user with the incorrect history?

        For some reason i thought you said that the phone display time was off, but as i read it a 2nd time i seen that you did not.

        I would check the time and date on the 2 phone's. It seems the one might be off. If the date is wrong then do my first post.

          Have you checked the date and time of the system (PC) that is reporting the incorrect date?

            What version of ShoreTel are you running?
            Does the Installed Director Software Build, Match the PCM Build?

            There were in some older software issues with Time not displaying correctly.

            Also these numbers from Reception 2 are they being offered or monitored by this extension?

            Is this a remote site with its own schedule?

            Please detail the call flow for this person as it pertains to the call history that is incorrect

                If this is happening to only two users, it is important to understand what is different on these two users. Call flow is how the call is handled, is this through a work group, hunt group or direct call? are they being monitored or are these calls being picked up via a BCA?


                **Start EXAMPLE:
                Out side call comes to ext xxx,
                XXX then transfers to Hunt grp bbb
                HUnt Group BBB has two users, ext abc and xyz
                when any of these users pick up the call the Call history time is not correct
                **END EXAMPLE

                Just need to understand the dynamics of how the event occurs
