OK, I saw that 7 was to be released GA at the end of June. I never got a GA announcement from Jeff R. , so I E-mailed him. He told ne that 6.1 rock solid, 7 is "For those that are comfortable". 4 hours later I got 7 GA announcement.
How Stable is 7? Shuld I go with 6.1 latest and greatest? Should I go with 7? if there are issues with 7, what are they? Does 7 warrant the gamble? Al of my customers are at least 6.1 CR 11.13.xxxx

I have 1 new install @ 7, and we are upgrading 2 6.1 customers to 7 in August (as well as 4 new 7.0 installs in August). We are running 7.5.
Some say there are some issues in teh latest 7.0 release, but and the thought seems to be the original 7.0 GA is the best to go to (whatever that was).
Personally, I haven't had any issues yet.
We will try and keep this forum a little bit more updated when it comes to 7.5 CR and 7.5 GA, so others will be better informed on release dates.

Shoretel 7 bugs
I have a few customers funning on 7. There are a few bugs. One that seems to have popped its ugly head up my way is with Speed Dial/ Monitor Extension features. The status indicator on the telephone is hit or miss, sometimes it works as the documentation says it will and as it did in 6.1. Other times it only shows the line is active with a lit button and a flashing icon next to the button. Placing a call on hold or changing the state of the call does not update the indicator. This customer is using SG560g telephones. Shortel has confirmed an engineering defect, they could not confirm if it with the 7.0 release or the SG560 firmware but are investigating.
Cheers,

Ahhhh... ShoreTel 7. I think we have two running on the GR build and about half a dozen on the CR versions.
Overall, we had been running CR 12.5.7203 for about one month without any issues, but it seems that some new bugs popped up with the GR build.
We are currently running the a beta version of 7.5, which has bluetooth integration and also color display phones. Just waiting for the new phones to be released and we can start playing...-LC

Alright, I am going to bite the bullet and start upgrading.
My first or second site I plan on doing is one that raises a question.
There are a few machines that are suppposatively running on XP home.
I wasn't even aware of this until we did another site survey to make sure no one was running win 2k.
They seem to be going fine with CM and 6.1 on these machines. I just heard that there was an issue installing CM on a Vista Home edition. Any thoughts or experience running 7.0 on XP home.
