  • Any thoughts?

    I use Verizon Wireless.

I use a Palm device. Not linked to Outlook.

I want to be able to have a Blackberry or whatever to work with outlook and our ShoreTel (our in office.)

I am sure there are a lot of opinions on what I should buy. The plain ol' LG is getting so I can't hear on it (maybe that is me!)

Version 7.5 has MCM (Mobile Call Manager) for Blackberry. As long as you have a BES server, then Blackberry will receive anything that is sent into your Outlook.

We recently switched from Treo's to Blackberry phones and I can tell you that EVERYONE is much happier.

Battery life is 3x longer, applications are more available (like MCM).

Windows Mobile for us... Exchange provides free push servics for calendar, email, blah blah. MCM will be coming soon for Windows Mobile. You can open the shoreware client webpage with a windows mobile device and make changes to call handling settings and such.

          Vance,

We use Verizon and the 8830 series Blackberrys. They work well for us. The MCM works with only a few minor kinks (cant use the roller ball to select...you have to use the return key...again very minor).

We have tried them all, and probably the best feature about the Blackberry is the battery life. I use my phone all day and well into the night. This 8830 has served me well because the battery can last almost 2 days!

          Best regards,

          Troy
