    ShoreTel 12.2
    Communicator is up to date
    ONE specific user gets the notification from the task bar "Instant messaging is unavailable" when he tries to engage IM.

    In Director - he has a professional (Communicator) license - he is using the SA-100 as his Conferencing/IM Settings.

    As usual - something obvious is slipping past me.


    Any ideas, folks?

    had a situation similar to this and it was a corrupt profile in shoretel. Had to recreate the user. deleting the old profile...do not copy the user

        Q: did you use the dbimport script for user generation, or did you build them from scratch?

            I'm not sure if this applies as we are running an old version (ver. 7) as a pilot.

            I noticed I get that message when the User ID on the ShoreTel and Conference Directors don't match. In our case, the conference bridge was case sensitive. So if the user ID in the ShoreTel Director is all lowercase, the ID in the Conference Director should be lowercase, too.
