We bought one just for an emergency. I think it was under $100 and we got it from our shoretel dealer. I think any poe injector would work however.

Your shoretel partner can sell you one from Shoretel.... or you can buy one from Microsemi (this is what Shoretel rebrands as their own) ...

We keep a few in stock, like 10. You always end up in a situation that you need one in a pinch. That, and the fact that unless you purchase it WITH a phone, you have to buy at least 10.

Actually it (Linksys POE injector kit) does work, but you only need the injector end. The second half is to "receive" 48v power and depending on the model provide 5v or 12v to the remote device. Your phones and similar POE devices will be happy with the direct 48v. I am using one in my phone room -- we distribute GbE fiber from the nonPOE switch handling all the ShoreGear to our main server room L3 switch -- so a single injector worked perfectly here.

If you need more than one port, but less than a 24 or 48 port rack mount switch provices ... I've used and can recommend the Netgear FS108P (8 total ports, 4 ports POE). I've kept one to program new phones pre-deployment, now I have them for training rooms or other temporary needs. For a step up, consider the Linksys SRW208MP as a full 8-port managed POE in a small package.

IP 100 power supply

I recently picked up a IP100 phone on eBay and I've tried powering it with 1.) Dell L3 POE switch we use for our phone system. 2.) Shoretel power brick purchased from our partner company. 3.) D-Link DWL-P200 power injector. None of these devices has successfully brought this device to life. I even went back to the seller and he exchanged it for a different phone (different MAC). Same result. Each of these power sources has no problem powering the IP230 & IP560G phones we have. Also this phone comes with a network cable with a power port but is missing the wall wart/power brick. I know I'm missing something. How do I power this device?
Thanks
Victor

Update: I found out that the IP 100 uses a 12V wall wart for power connected to the special network cable that comes with the phone. Also if you need to get into this phone the password is 456 followed by the # sign.

The IP 100 is an old polycom phone. Not sure about that one.
